Awesome, hilarious, loveable and outgoing are all perfect adjectives for any dog. Package them together and you have the perfect discription of the Portuguese Water Dog. As a family dog I have yet to find a breed that is more capable of adjusting to their situation than a Portie. From swimming in the ocean or your backyard pool, to babysitting the youngest family member, the Portie seeks to please his owners. Porties are non-shedding and come with either a curly or wavy coat. They have webbed feet, making them incredible swimmers. Their underwater antics are amazing to see.
